AGL will realise a development fee of A$30m ($29.9m) from the sale and will continue to operate and maintain the facility. It will also buy the large-scale generation certificates and electricity output from the project until 2036.
Hallett 5, located in the north of South Australia, is already operational after being completed in late March.
It was constructed by Indian turbine-manufacturer Suzlon under a fixed-price turnkey contract, deploying 24 Suzlon S88v3A turbines and one new model S97 turbine.
