Invenergy has sealed a virtual power purchase agreement (VPPA) with AT&T for its 300MW Thunderbird project in the state of Nebraska, vaulting the giant wireless network operator into third place among US corporates and industrials with at least 1.35GW of wind capacity under contract.

Invenergy, a leading independent renewables project developer, did not provide financial details of the transaction, which will take effect after Thunderbird enters commercial operation in Q4.
