In a decree published on 11 July, President Mauricio Macri’s administration lowered the local content requirement from 60% to 30% for wind and to 25% for solar, confirming details that had already been included in the renewables law 27.191, which was approved in late 2015.
The measures were published today in preparation for the country's renewables tender in the coming months, which aims to contract 600MW of wind, 300MW of PV and another 100MW of other renewable technologies.
