French nuclear group Areva will sell its own half-share in the Adwen joint venture to Gamesa for €60m ($67.3m) under the terms of the wider merger agreement announced between Siemens and Gamesa in June.
The news ends a three-month window for the sale of Areva’s Adwen share, which reportedly saw the French group turn down an offer from GE. Germany-based OEM Senvion was also linked with Adwen.
