French developer Sarreole estimates the project will cost €305m, with the remaining €229m to come from senior and mezzanine lenders, according to ACEI, with headquarters in Annapolis, Maryland.
The project will help Senegal reduce its reliance on high-cost oil-firmed power generation and meet growing demand for electricity.
Sarreole will sell project power under a 20-year off-take agreement to national utility company Societe Nationale d'Electricite du Senegal.
