Renewable energy major EDPR has been awarded a 15-year power purchase agreement (PPA) at a Chilean renewables auction to sell electricity from its 120MW San Andres wind project.
San Andres in Chile’s La Araucania region is expected to enter operation in 2025.
EDPR only entered the Chilean market earlier this year and said it has now already secured deals underpinning 200MW to be deployed in the Andean country by mid-decade.
