Some 30GW of new wind farms will be switched on in Africa by 2027, as rising electricity demand, falling wind power costs and an “expanding track record of project execution” galvinises a continental market that currently has a total of 5GW turning, according to Wood Mackenzie-owned consultancy MAKE’s latest report on the region.
