AES announced the JV alongside its second-quarter results, with chief executive Andrés Gluski saying the company is “poised to take advantage of the opening of the energy market” in Mexico.
Mexico is in the process of implementing a sweeping package of reforms to its energy markets, including its power sector, which is set to offer major opportunities to renewables companies over the next few years.
