Fluence Energy will supply a 100MW/400MWh lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery-based storage project in California, the world’s largest, as US regulators approved formation of the energy storage technology and services 50/50 joint venture by AES and Siemens
The storage project, which will have four-hour duration, will be part of AES’ planned new 640MW Alamitos natural gas-fired, combined cycle, air-cooled power plant in Long Beach.
