ADB to advance $1bn for India renewable transmission upgrade

India’s huge clean-energy ambitions received a $1bn finance boost today when the Asian Development Bank (ADB) said it will make the sum available to state transmission utility Powergrid to pay for renewables-focused network upgrades.
