A-Power posted a fourth-quarter loss of $23.9m, compared with the $10m profit it put up during the same period in 2008.
It recorded a net loss of $16.7m for the year, compared with a $28.5m profit in 2008. Its full-year sales grew 55% last year to $125.9m.
But the firm, which is based in Shenyang but listed on New York’s NASDAQ stock exchange, surprised analysts by issuing a 2010 revenue guidance of $380m, compared to the consensus estimate of $543m.
