Terms of the deal – expected to close in July – were not disclosed.
BluEarth also announced that president and chief executive Kent Brown will be replaced by current chief operating officer Grant Arnold. Brown, a BluEarth co-founder, will remain a member of the executive board.
Teachers’ – among Canada’s largest pension funds, with C$154.5bn ($125bn) of assets – has been a lead investor in Calgary-based BluEarth since it was founded in 2010.
