Democratic Governor Andrew Cuomo unveiled his multi-headed Reforming the Energy Vision (REV) initiative last year, but the long-delayed 2015 New York State Energy Plan seeks to channel REV’s broad aims into more concrete steps.
The plan sets three high-level targets for the state, all to be met by 2030: sourcing half of its electricity from renewables, cutting greenhouse gas emissions 40% on 1990 levels, and slashing energy consumption in buildings by 23% on 2012 levels.
