The latest example came this week when it emerged the country’s green investment vehicle, the Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC), has been ordered to stop backing wind projects (and small solar) under a new draft remit from Prime Minister Tony Abbott and his ministers.
Wind has borne the brunt of Abbott’s distrust of renewables ever since his Liberal-National Coalition government took power in 2013.
