Last month, the Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy in Berlin presented a draft paper on the introduction of tenders for most renewables technologies from 2017. The government wants auctions to determine the level of support for more than 80% of power generated by all new wind and solar projects, taking over from the feed-in tariff (FIT) system.
Consultation on the draft is open until 1 October.
