Enbridge, which operates the world’s largest system of pipelines for oil and gas, entered the wind business more than a decade ago, marking its first foray into power generation. Since then it steadily built up its renewables capacity to 1.6GW, more than 90% of it wind, and became Canada’s second largest owner of wind farms.

The pace of Enbridge’s green investments is quickening, as the Calgary-based company embarks on its largest-ever capital growth programme.
