The German industrial giant has sold its 49% holdings in both Siemens Wind Power Turbines (Shanghai) Co. and Shanghai Electric Wind Energy Co. to erstwhile partner Shanghai Electric Group.

Siemens did not disclose the value of the transaction, which took place in the spring of this year, and remained mostly silent about the reasons behind the split with Shanghai Electric, other than stating that it "has taken these steps to adapt to the changing market conditions in China".
