Last December, it failed to sell 210MW of first stage capacity from the proposed 1GW ONE to Long Island Power Authority, which opted for cheaper solar.
“We certainly haven’t given up on Long Island. We still expect we will be serving the island with energy from Deepwater ONE,” he says. LIPA has indicated it will be buying additional blocks of renewable power in the future.
