Iberdrola’s renewable energy division boosted profits by 22.7% to €1.13bn before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (Ebitda) in the year to the end of September compared to the same period in 2014.
That helped Iberdrola boost group net profit by 7.8% to €1.92bn on sales up 6.7% to €23.7bn.
The Spanish group’s chairman Ignacio Galan said the renewables division “continued to show a very good performance thanks to strong output, especially in the UK”.
