According to a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed with the state government, the two companies will build the projects over the next five years in Anantapur and Nellore districts.
The plan calls for 1GW of wind to be installed, with development scheduled to start immediately, according to a statement by the government of Andhra Pradesh.
The authorities expect the 4GW plan to provide roughly 8,000 jobs, in addition to 25,000 indirect employment opportunities.
