Analysis released by WWF Scotland of data provided by WeatherEnergy shows wind turbines provided 10,392GWh of electricity to National Grid, enough on average to supply 2.34 million homes. This was an increase of 16% compared to the previous year.
The data shows that wind generated enough power to supply over 100% of Scottish homes during six out of the 12 months of 2015 – January, February, March, May, November, and December.
