The latest Spanish court ruling upheld Gamesa’s appeal against a 2013 verdict in Enercon’s favour handed down by Barcelona’s Commercial Court.

The German company had argued that Gamesa’s ‘Safe Mode’ technology infringed patents held by Enercon founder Aloys Wobben.

The dispute centres around Enercon’s ‘Storm Control’ technology, which regulates turbine operation during extreme wind conditions.
