UpWind to 'jump-start' Vestas North America O&M, says Brown

In December the Danish turbine giant announced it would pay $60m to acquire San Diego-based UpWind, which has 3GW of wind capacity under service across the US and Canada.

Vestas is already the world's largest wind O&M company, with more than 50GW under service globally – including around 14GW in North America. Most new turbine contracts that Vestas wins come with an attached O&M agreement.
