Other new sources of generation capacity totaling 524MW were biomass, coal, geothermal, hydro, nuclear, oil and waste heat.
Cumulative new capacity in 2014 was 19.425GW with gas the leading energy source with 9,162MW (47.17%), followed by wind, 5,319MW, (27.38%) and solar, 3,776MW, (12.39%).
