The first of 365 of the Danish group’s 850kW V52 machines was put in place on Saturday at what will be Africa’s largest wind farm, Vestas said.
The installation came after delays caused by “strong storms and heavy rains” at the project site between two mountain ranges in northern Kenya, which is said to boast some of the best conditions for wind generation in the world.
