An ACWA spokesman confirmed that the MoU signing took place over the weekend during a visit to Egypt by Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.
A report in Egypt’s Daily News quotes ACWA board chairman Mohammad Abdullah Abunayyan as saying his company plans to invest up to $12bn over the next five years on installing around 10GW of additional power generation capacity in the country, including from renewable sources.
