Enbridge, headquartered in Calgary, acquired the Montana-Alberta Tie Line (MATL) project last October when it took over Toronto-based Tonbridge. Construction had fallen behind schedule amid disputes between the developer and landowners in both Montana and Alberta.
Remediation work was required and is now completed on several stretches of the line in Montana, as is most construction. “The US side is progressing very well,” the official says.
