The deal will be largest for renewable energy by OPPD, amongthe largest public electric utilities in the United States.
The additional wind capacity will increase the utility’srenewable energy generation capacity to 817MW, about 30% of existing retailgeneration.
The proposed Prairie Wind Farm needs a green light from regulatorsat the Nebraska Power Review Board. The developer hopes to have the facility inoperation the second half of 2015.
