The US broke through the 100GW wind power capacity milestone in the busiest third quarter on record as the sector continues an unprecedented four-year build-out led by Texas, according to latest American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) figures.
Developers installed 1.92GW in Q3, surpassing the previous high of 1.8GW in the same 2012 period, while new capacity commissioned this year totaled 3.66GW
