Floating wind power could be built into a market worth tens of billions of pounds by mid-century if the British government adapts its Contracts for Difference (CfD) auction system to support the emerging sector – and would at the same time accelerate the UK toward its zero carbon emissions pledge, according to calculations in a new report from industry bodies RenewableUK & Scottish Renewables.
