AES Tietê – the Brazilian unit of US utility AES Corp – has pulled back from plans to buy 730MW of wind assets from local renewable energy developer Renova Energia, alleging that previously-agreed conditions in an deal signed in April were not met.
Renova Energia has been negotiating the sale of the 730MW Alto Sertão III project as part of a series of measures aimed at raising money to pay down debts.
