Orsted is focused on reaching agreement with Germany’s EEW for the vendor to fabricate monopile foundations in southern New Jersey for its three-stage, 1.1GW Ocean Wind and likely other regional US offshore projects, dropping a proposal for a similar plant in Massachusetts, the developer tells Recharge.

“The facility proposed in Brayton Point was in response to Massachusetts’ 2018 offshore wind RFP, for which Orsted’s Bay State Wind project was unsuccessful.
