Enel Green Power (EGP) will import 230 Nordex AW3000 turbines for its 716MW Lagoa dos Ventos project in Brazil rather than taking them from the OEM’s local factory, allowing it to start lucrative power production early at what will be South America’s largest wind complex.
The largest ever importation of wind turbines into Brazil means the Italian group will be able to leapfrog the backlog at the nacelle assembly plant operated by Nordex Group there, which has a total order book of 1.2GW
