As you enter the factory of Aeris Energy, Brazil’s up-and-coming blade maker, the hustle and bustle of the 3,000 workers stacking up 50-plus-metre blades in the yard draws your attention, and you know something is going on.
Then you notice the construction works to accommodate the 70-plus blades for the Vestas V150, a contract that Aeris has just renewed which will require the manufacture of around 1,000 units in the coming years.
