Danish energy trading house Danske Commodities has signed a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Norwegian developer Equinor for production from Hywind Scotland, the world’s first floating wind array.
Danske Commodies will be the sole offtaker from the 30MW project, brought online in late-2017 off Peterhead, Scotland, and currently powering 20,000 homes in the region.
