GE, Nordex and Siemens Gamesa build 5MW turbines in Brazil

GE, Nordex Group and Siemens Gamesa announced that they will build and sell turbines with a 5MW-plus rating in Brazil, as OEMs do battle in the country’s highly competitive wind market.

Nordex Group said it will manufacture the Delta 5.X platform, which ranges from 5MW to 5.8MW; GE has now shifted to the Cypress 5.X from the previously announced 4.8MW
