Siemens Gamesa in its last quarter for the first time invested more in offshore than in onshore wind, as the German-Spanish turbine manufacturer said it sees more future growth coming from wind power at sea than on land.
“The number one growth perspective is in offshore,” chief executive Markus Tacke said during a conference call on the OEM’s second quarter results for 2019, which ended in March.
