Wind power has been notably excluded from US Senator Lamar Alexander’s “New Manhattan Project for Clean Energy,” the first Republican proposal to address climate change in response to progressive left Democrats’ widely-publicised Green New Deal (GND).
Alexander, a long-time critic of wind power as expensive and unreliable, wants to double Department of Energy (DOE) funding on clean energy research for the next five years starting in federal fiscal 2020 (1 October – 30 September).
