It is “premature” to discuss a construction timeline for the proposed 4GW, $2.3bn Grain Belt Express wind power transmission project in the US Midwest despite the recent green light from Missouri, developer Invenergy tells Recharge.
The decade-old project was originally scheduled to be operational this year or in 2020, but stalled due to legal and regulatory setbacks, opposition from some landowners and state politicians, and commercial challenges.
