Led by solar and wind, renewables now employ 508,500 people in the US, more than all fossil fuels except petroleum and seven times more than nuclear power related activities, according to a new report.
Think tank Energy Futures Initiative’s 2019 US Energy and Employment Report highlights in granular detail the growing employment impact of the country’s transition to cleaner energy, fuels and generation, along with related technologies such as alternative fuel and electric vehicles and storage.
