Germany may substantially raise its 2030 offshore wind target as it moves to replace coal and lignite-based power generation, said Andreas Wellbrock, chief executive of the Wind Energy Agency (WAB), one of the country's leading industry groups.
“There are signs that government may increase 2030 offshore targets, maybe to up to 20GW or more,” Wellbrock said during the Windforce Baltic Sea conference that started today.
