Vineyard Wind’s pioneering 800MW offshore wind project has cleared the tough environmental review process in Massachusetts, a significant milestone for the US industry as it advances with plans for utility-scale expansion along the Atlantic coast.

Final Environmental Impact Report (FEIR) certification allows the two-stage project 34 miles (55miles) south of Cape Cod to proceed with state, regional and local permitting, and keep it on track to have the initial 400MW of capacity in 2022 commercial operation.
