Majority state-owned Danish utility Orsted has discontinued plans for the divestment of its distribution and customer businesses after the country's finance ministry has pulled back its previous support for the transaction.

The activities – the Danish power distribution business, the residential customer business for power and gas, and the city light business – in 2017 accounted for 5.6% of the utility’s total operating profit.
