Dutch marine contractor Royal Boskalis Westminster has set the seal on a deal with German infrastructure contractor SPIE to take over the offshore cable installation assets of subsidiary Bohlen Doyen (BoDo).
The acquisition, the value of which was not disclosed, will see Boskalis add a trio of large cable-lay barges to its fleet, along with associated equipment and burial tools.
