Norway’s Equinor deepened its footprint in the emerging Polish offshore wind sector with a deal to take 50% of the up-to 1.6GW Baltic 1 project, encouraged by recent policy commitments.
The agreement with local developer Polenergia adds to similar agreements the two have already struck over the Baltic 2 and 3 projects, totaling 1.2GW, with Equinor leading on construction and operation.
