Japan’s Sumitomo Corp. has acquired a 29.5% equity stake in the French offshore wind projects Dieppe Le Tréport and Yeu Noirmoutier, and signed an alliance with utilities Engie and EDPR to jointly develop them.

Engie remains the largest shareholder with a 31% stake and the industrial leader on both 496MW arrays, in partnership with EDPR (29.5%) and the La Banque des Territoires unit of the Caisse des Dépôts group (10%).
