Germany’s federal networks agency (BNetzA) has launched the first onshore auction round for 2019, seeking 700MW of wind power and 175MW in ground-based solar PV.

Interested parties can hand in bids by 1 February 2019, with a price ceiling for onshore wind at €62/MWh and at €89.10/MWh for PV.

The BNetzA has kicked off the first onshore auction of 2019 although only 363MW out of 670MW on offer had been successful in the heavily-undersubscribed fourth onshore wind tendering round in 2018, mostly due to a lack of sufficient permits.
