Infrastructure and Energy Alternatives (IEA), owner of wind- and solar farm builder White Construction, has bagged a multi-year framework deal with EDF Renewables North America that will see it constructing 1.4GW of US wind capacity for the developer throughout the phase-down period of the production tax credit.

IEA will now enter exclusive negotiations with EDF for the construction of a “significant portion” of its wind portfolio in the central US through 2021, the Indiana-based company said in a statement.
