Developer Longroad Energy has sold its 238MW Rio Bravo wind project in development in Texas near the border with Mexico to a unit of Dallas-based diversified holding company Sammons Enterprises.

Terms of the transaction were not made public. The project, which will utilize 66 Vestas V136-3.6 MW turbines, is scheduled to achieve commercial operation in summer of 2019.

Once operational, Rio Bravo will produce enough electricity for an equivalent 76,000 homes.
