US rejects Eolus' 500MW Crescent Peak project in Nevada

The federal US government has shot down Swedish developer Eolus Vind’s Crescent Peak wind project in southern Nevada – a project that would have greatly expanded the desert state’s wind capacity but proved a lightning rod for many local residents.

Eolus, a significant player in the growing Scandinavian wind market, launched into the US in 2015 by acquiring two early-stage projects, Crescent Peak being the largest and most well advanced.
